RASC News Agency: Sources from Kunduz province report that Taliban police forces have shot and killed an 18-year-old at a checkpoint. According to these sources, the young man, named Ramin, was returning home with friends on Friday, July 12, when he was targeted at a Taliban police checkpoint.
Witnesses state that the Taliban opened fire on the vehicle carrying Ramin after it passed the checkpoint. One source mentioned that Ramin was initially wounded by a bullet that hit his back, but he succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital. This is not the first instance of Taliban forces shooting citizens at checkpoints. A few months ago, four young men from Panjshir were killed at a checkpoint in Kabul for allegedly speeding through an intersection. Another young man was killed in Takhar while crossing a street.
The Taliban have committed numerous arbitrary killings, showing no regard for their victims. They behave as if they own Afghanistan, acting with impunity. Just two days ago, they reportedly raped four women in Baghlan and killed a woman in Takhar.
The Taliban carry out killings without accountability, never facing trial for their actions. They have no regard for patriotism, kindness, or humanitarian values, acting solely on their whims. Having grown up in the mountains, they seem to revel in killing, arresting, and torturing people, consistently engaging in arbitrary executions.
