Taliban Relocate TTP Members from Border Areas to Other Provinces

RASC News Agency: Security and diplomatic sources report that the Taliban are planning to relocate members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from border areas to other provinces in Afghanistan. Sources informed the media on Saturday, June 22, that this decision follows months of discussions between the Taliban, Pakistan, and China.

According to these sources, the Taliban intend to move TTP fighters from regions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, particularly in Khost province, to other areas within Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the TTP has expressed concern over this relocation plan, stating that negotiations on this matter are still ongoing.

This decision comes in the wake of recent attacks in Pakistan and an assault on Chinese citizens in Bisham, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. An attack on a vehicle carrying Chinese engineers in Bisham resulted in the deaths of at least six individuals, including five Chinese nationals. Over the past three years, during the Taliban’s control of Afghanistan, the Pakistani government has repeatedly claimed that the Taliban have sheltered TTP militants.

Reports indicate that senior TTP leaders and a significant number of their fighters are present in Afghanistan, though the Taliban have consistently denied these allegations.
