RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front claims that four Taliban members were killed during an attack by its forces in Kabul. According to a statement released by the Afghanistan Freedom Front, its forces targeted a gathering of Taliban intelligence forces near one of the group’s compounds in the Sarai Shomali area of Khair Khana, Kabul, on the evening of Tuesday, May 7.
The statement noted that the attack involved both light and heavy weapons and took place as Taliban intelligence forces were transporting several civilians detained in the Khair Khana area to the city center. The clash between the two sides lasted approximately 10 minutes, allowing some of the detained civilians to escape Taliban custody. The exact number of Taliban casualties remains unclear.
The statement said, “During this operation, the Taliban’s intelligence chief for Kabul’s 11th district was also present in the area. However, the Afghanistan Freedom Front did not specify whether the Taliban commander was killed or injured.”
Local sources had previously confirmed the occurrence of this clash to the media, which aligns with a prior claim by the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan that three Taliban members were killed during an operation in the Nejrab district of Kapisa province.
