RASC News Agency: The Taliban police command in Balkh province has announced that the body of a young man was recently found in Dehdadi district of the province. According to a statement issued by the Taliban police command in Balkh, the young man was identified as Shirzi, 23 years old, who worked as a taxi driver in Mazar-i-Sharif.

The statement noted that Shirzi was originally from Parwan and went missing on Thursday, March 30th, from the Zulfiqar Square area of Mazar-i-Sharif. His body was found on Friday, Apr 19, in the Pul-e-Imam Bakri area of Dehdadi district. According to the Taliban police statement in Balkh province, Shirzi was tortured and brutally murdered.

The Taliban police stated that the motive for the murder was personal enmity, adding that the deceased had been imprisoned during the Republic era on murder charges and was released after the Taliban took power.
