RASC News Agency: Taliban authorities in Nangarhar province have informed the media that due to flooding in the province, two children have lost their lives, and two others have been injured. Quraishi Badloon, the Information and Culture Officer of the Taliban group in Nangarhar province, informed the media today, Monday, April 15th, that the victims include an eight-year-old boy and a twelve-year-old girl.
Quraishi added that the eight-year-old boy lost his life in Chaparhar district, while the twelve-year-old girl died in the Purah district of the province. The provincial media official of Nangarhar states that in districts such as Hisarak, Lalpurah, Kamah, Kuzkunar, Dorbaba, Momandara, and several others, many houses have been destroyed, and the agricultural lands of the people have been washed away due to heavy rainfall and flooding.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that recent heavy rainfall across the country has also caused significant financial damage to people in remote areas such as Kunar, Laghman, and Nuristan provinces, and they are in need of urgent assistance. This comes as the Taliban’s Ministry of Disaster Management Affairs stated yesterday that as a result of recent heavy rainfall and flooding in Afghanistan, 33 people have lost their lives, and 27 others have been injured.
