- RASC News Agency: The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning the reinstatement of punishment for suspects, calls for a change in the Taliban’s repressive policies and their exclusion of women. In a statement issued yesterday, April 5th, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the recent decision by the Taliban to resume stoning women and subject them to physical punishment in the strongest terms.
Meanwhile, Taliban leader Mullah Haibatullah, in an audio message emphasizing the public punishment of individuals, stated that the group enforces punishments and publicly subjects women to stoning. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned this decision and the Taliban leader’s alarming message, considering it a blatant violation of women’s fundamental rights and freedoms by the Taliban group.
France, as a member of the United Nations Security Council, asserts that it will consider the prerequisites set by the United Nations in all discussions with its active participation in the Council. The emergence of the Taliban and their repressive policies towards half of Afghanistan’s population has prompted human rights organizations and various countries to demand a change in the Taliban’s policies towards women through numerous messages.
It is worth noting that it has been nearly a thousand days since schools closed to girls above the sixth grade, and similarly, universities have barred female students from enrollment.
