RASC News Agency: Following a surge in domestic violence, a man in Kandahar province has fatally shot his spouse. Sources have informed the media that this incident occurred yesterday, Mar 23, in the “Shaki” area of Maiwand district, Kandahar province.

The source added that the victim, a mother of six children, succumbed to domestic violence, with the suspect fleeing the scene. This occurs amidst the Taliban’s rule, exacerbating poverty and unemployment in the country, thus fueling a growing trend of domestic violence.

It is noteworthy that previously, in the Khakrez district of Kandahar province, a man had also killed his wife, while in Nangarhar province, ten individuals lost their lives in recent days due to domestic violence.
