RASC News Agency: A remnant mine from the conflicts in Afghanistan has resulted in the deaths of two students in Nangarhar province. Local sources reported today, Wednesday, Mar 20, to the media that two children in the Nazian district of Nangarhar province lost their lives due to a mine explosion at 3:30 PM yesterday after lunch.
The source added that these children, named Mohammad Reza, an 11-year-old sixth-grade student, and another child named Nurakht, a 13-year-old eighth-grade student, were on their way home from school when they encountered a remnant mine from the conflicts and perished. Meanwhile, local authorities of the Taliban group in Nangarhar province expressed concern over the incident and urged the people to inform the authorities upon sighting suspicious objects to prevent such incidents.
