RASC News Agency: The ongoing conflict between the Taliban group and Pakistani troops in the Barmal district of Paktika province and the Dand Patan district of Paktia province has lasted for several hours. The confrontation between the two sides in these areas commenced after Pakistan initiated airstrikes on regions in Khost, Paktika, and Kunar provinces around 7:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18th.

According to local sources, Pakistani troops are aiming their attacks at homes and civilians. Initial reports from the Barmal district of Paktika indicate that four civilians have sustained injuries due to Pakistani rocket attacks on the village of Dab. Sources in Dand Patan, Paktia, also confirmed that intense fighting continues in this area, resulting in three Pakistani soldiers being wounded as a consequence of these clashes.

Meanwhile, reports from Tani district, Khost province, reveal that intense fighting has erupted in the district. The Taliban group has yet to issue a statement regarding these recent clashes. It is notable that Pakistan has claimed to have targeted a Taliban commander named Abdullah Shah in Paktika and Khost with these airstrikes, an allegation that was refuted by the Pakistani Taliban commander himself in a video statement.

Following these attacks, the Taliban group in Kabul province issued a warning to Pakistan, denouncing it as an invasion of Afghanistan territory.
