RASC News Agency: Amidst a surge in mysterious and targeted killings, local sources from Takhar Province have recently reported the mysterious murder of a young man in the vicinity of the province. Sources from Takhar Province informed the media that the body of the young man, identified as Abdul Qahar, was discovered on Monday, Feb 12, in the Kaftarkhana area of Dasht-e Qala district in the province.

According to sources, Abdul Qahar, a resident of Dasht-e Qala district in Takhar Province, had traveled to Turkey to visit his relatives nearly a month ago. Sources further reveal that Abdul Qahar was scheduled to return to Turkey on Wednesday, but he was abducted by kidnappers who subsequently killed him. Meanwhile, local authorities of the Taliban group in Takhar Province have also verified the information, stating that their forces have apprehended three individuals in connection with the murder.

This escalation follows the Taliban’s assumption of power, resulting in a rise in criminal activities, particularly mysterious and targeted killings, kidnappings, and armed robberies, across various parts of the country. In a separate incident, unidentified gunmen fatally shot a former government soldier in the village of “Gholbala” in the Almar district of Faryab Province.
