RASC News Agency: Amidst the escalating insecurity across the nation, unidentified gunmen attacked a residence in Helmand province, as reported by local sources. Sources from Helmand province notified the media on Thursday, Feb 1, that the incident occurred last night in the “Hawz” area of the Baba Ji district.

According to these sources, a three-year-old girl named Asma lost her life after being struck by a bullet during the attack, while her father sustained injuries. The sources further state that the assailants managed to escape the scene after the assault, leaving the reason and motive behind the attack undetermined. Meanwhile, local Taliban officials in Helmand province have yet to provide any comment on this incident.

This incident coincides with a recent surge in similar occurrences across multiple provinces of the country. In a prior incident, due to an assault by unidentified gunmen on a residence in Nangarhar province, a man lost his life, and a woman sustained injuries. It is noteworthy that despite the Taliban’s assurances of ensuring national security following their assumption of control, reports of heightened criminal activities and insecurity persist in various regions of the country.
