RASC News Agency: The recent announcement from the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense reveals that the 5th Border Brigade of the 207th Al-Farooq Army Headquarters has discovered and confiscated a total of 20 different types of weapons and a quantity of ammunition in Farah province.

The ministry made this information public on Wednesday, January 24th, and disclosed that the weapons and ammunition were found during a specific operation in the Pashmaki region of Farah province. The inventory of seized items includes 13 rockets, 1 mortar, 2 DPs, 1 Kalashnikov AK47, 1 Aegis, 2 rifles, and a significant amount of ammunition.

In addition to the aforementioned discovery, the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has also reported the seizure of weapons and ammunition from Nangarhar and Herat provinces.

It is worth noting that Afghanistan has been embroiled in a prolonged war, resulting in the presence of unexploded weapons and ammunition scattered throughout the country. The authorities confiscate these remnants from past conflicts in efforts to maintain security and prevent potential harm.

Despite the Taliban’s previous assertions of confiscating illicit firearms within the nation, there remains a significant presence of armed factions and individuals who continue to perpetrate acts of violence and murder against innocent civilians.
